Just some ideas :D

These are just some ideas that i came up with. The animation ideas will be for the music channel for when it comes on after the adverts and when it comes on. The animation is also usually the same for when the program goes to the adverts and when it finishes.

Idea 1
Have a large rectangle to be hit by a projectile/pendulum. Apply an reactor and have the tiny little squares which make up the rectangle be like a feather weight. Also have the objects traveling at a very slow pace. The camera will then travel around the flying squares like in the matrix when the camera go round Keanu reeves when he is dodging the bullets.

Idea 2
2 enormous objects collide into each other, upon impact the outer layer of the objects break off into tiny parts, like it cracked like an egg, which the both revel an orb of light, which then floats up like a balloon, making the screen go white.

Idea 3
A ball of light similar to a shooting star flies around fast and unpredictably. First you see the star go left then right but traveling forward so it is going diagonally left and right. The star after doings its quick wild movements will then fly towards the screen, which then the camera follows the light, as the camera is following the colour of the star will start to change. Finally the star will fly into a machine, powering it up, which then the camera goes to the top of the machine blinding the sky with a white light.

Idea 4
Objects from different angles and colours come flying in to come together to create something e.g. logo.

Idea 5
Camera Follows and electric charge through a tunnel network (can be wires) the journey is quite short through the tunnel. The tunnel then leads into a bigger room, something like in star wars episode 6 when the space vehicles are traveling through the tunnels to get to the big generator which is in a humongous room. The electric charge you will then find out that isn't alone, there are others, which then all go into the middle which turns on a weird spinning TV machine ( instead of having it in a room the spinning TV it can also be set outside similar to the matrix.)

Idea 6
A weird metallic ball with lights rolls round and collides in to objects which then turn the lights on, the process gets faster and faster, which then leads the camera to go to birds eye view and you will see that the lights come together to make an image.

Idea 7
The background is white, and then you will see black lines come out of no where, not just 1 but multiple going in different directions. as the lines are traveling random colours are like spat out of it. When the lines finally collide the camera goes bird eye view and you see that the lines made a TV.

Idea 8
An object in the middle looking like a 3-d exclamation mark, A weird snake like object goes a round wrapping it self around the 3-d object, which then squeezes the object having random videos being thrown out of it.

Idea 9
Lt blue, bright red, bright yellow, bright green, bright orange lines running up the side of the humanoid robotic body. The lines will reach the headphone region, spin around the headphone, turning the human head on, you will also see musical notes and tubes of random colours popping out of the head. The camera will then pan to from of the head, which then the mouth will open with a white light coming out. The camera will then go to the shoulder view, and you will notice that the head is like a projector.

Well I’m planning to do most of the basic shapes, materials, camera work in 3-d max, and for drop downs, the song title and number, the sound effects and other flashy stuff in adobe after effects.

! Target Audience i

With the age category this would usually target people within the early teens to the early thirties, this is usually because when people are young they always want the new technology (e.g. phones) and always be updated, but as you get older you get less bothered on what new out.

But for the style/genre of people this would usually aimed at people who are into music, or people that are in the music industry.

"*" The hits "*"

These snap shots show the little animation that you see in a video, showing the rating, artist and the name of the song. The animation can easily be done on adobe after effects. These are the other little animation that i will have for in between the beginning and end of the "Chart" shows.


on the left hand bottom corner number 5, the artist aand the name of the song magically appears onto the screen for a little while and then dissappear.



This time the animation is on the top right hand corner, it also just appears onto the video, this stays on the video for a big longer, and dissappears near the end of the song.




This is the final little animation that will be seen in the video. A drop down will come down and show the posistion of the song, and what other songs are before it.

!!!TMF Most wanted!!!

This is Tmf version of 4 music top ten. The main colour white in this animation, seems calming, and futurisitc for me. (In star wars some of the rooms/corridors are white in some scenes) However there are other colours in this animation and yet again their are bright. As for the shapes it is yet again basic, in this case their is only 1 shape the cube, which piles on top of eachother to create another shape, the rectangle.

The buzz chart

These are snaps of "The buz chart" animation. As you you can it is also colourful the choice of colours of the big object/shape thing in the middle are also quite similar to the "Today 4 music top ten" animation, but the dark blue almost black looking the background, gives the tenchological/sci-fi feel (also if you look more closely you can see white dots im thinking stars) for me which the songs of the top 10 are modern, like the latest technology. The deisng of the shapes are yet again basic, looking like a frisbee but with a patterned texture. The col thing is that the texture/material changes colours giving that :o effect.

Today's 4 music top 10

This is the a sanp shot of 4 music top ten hits, as you can see it is colouruful thus eye catching and has the wow effect for a couple of seconds. The colours chosen aren't very vairied they are just bright, and with the colours which are chosen, they don't seem dull, gloomy they have some active fiery effect to them. Second i've notice that the shapes are mainly blocks of basic shapes, but still eye appealing. (seems like that put some sort of glass material on the objects)

Receiving the project brief and knowing what limitations I had, I went immediately to brain storming for which one to focus on. There were 4 different categories given to us 3D game, Animated Film, Television Titles, and Education. On the brainstorming i didn't come up with many idea for Education, but for television titles i had plenty.

Deciding to do television titles, i started to think what do i watch mainly on TV and realised that it was the music channels. From that my mind started to think of the "UK top 40" and "The buzz chart" remembering that they have animations for their show. During the beginning when it loads up there is a quick animation, during the song there is another little animation showing the name and number of the song, and when the programme finished there is another short animation. So it is decided I wanted to do an animation for the Chart top hits.

Synopsis :p

A sequence designed for the Chart hits animation, it will cover the beginning, in between and the end. The animation will consist of objects some complex others simple, it will be bright colourful and fast.
